MOUNT TYPES:

For proper fitting inside the window frame, inside mounted shades will have a deduction of approximately 0.4 inches taken. A minimum frame depth of 2.4 inches is required for secure installation of inside mounted shades. If your window frame depth is less than 2.4 inches, please opt for an outside mount. Outside mounted shades should be ordered with the exact width of the area you wish to cover. Outside mounts are typically used when there is not enough frame depth for inside mounting. Our shades come with all necessary mounting hardware for both inside and outside mounts.

INSIDE MOUNT MEASUREMENT:

Step 1: Measure the inside frame width at the top, middle, and bottom. Record the smallest of the three measurements and deduct 0.4 inches to get your customized width when ordering.

Step 2: Measure the height at the left, middle, and right sides. Record the smallest measurement as your customized height when ordering.

OUTSIDE MOUNT MEASUREMENT:

Step 1: Measure the outside frame width and add 6-10 inches to get the outside mount width.

Step 2: Measure the outside frame height and add 6-10 inches to get the outside mount height. This overlap is recommended for adequate coverage and to avoid any light gaps.

A standard deduction of 2/5 inch is made to the width for a proper fit. The actual blind size will be 32 3/5" W x 36" H, perfect for a window 33'' W x 36'' H. For an outside mount, please refer to the measurement guide to choose the appropriate size.
